These shakers (also known as caxixi) are handwoven in Bolgatanga, northern Ghana, from the same Elephant Grass which is used to weave the Bolga baskets.  They are filled with small stones/seeds and the handle has been reinforced with leather for durability.  Pictures are for illustrative purposes only and designs vary in colour and pattern.
