CLASSES

Paul Osei Kofi, master drummer with Akwaaba, runs drumming workshops for people interested in learning how to play the djembe, dundun, bell and shakers.  You'll be taught how to perfect the basic techniques of African hand drumming while learning a variety of exciting rhythms from all over West Africa. His classes cater for the novice right through to the skilled drummer who wants to add a little bit of spice to their drumming style.  Instruments are supplied at every class.


Paul's workshops are conducted in a fun, friendly and supportive atmosphere.  He is currently running the following workshops:

Tuesdays 7.00pm - 8.30pm - 6 week African drumming course starting 4 February 2020

Shop 68/69 Wanneroo Markets, 33 Prindiville Drive, Wangara

Learn the basic technique for playing djembe along with some traditional rhythms from

West Africa.  Class dates are 4/11/18/25 Feb & 3/10 March.

The cost for the 6 weeks is $120 and drums are supplied at every class.

Payment can be made in store (Friday-Sunday) or online.

This class is suitable for people who have completed the 6 week beginner course or have

some experience in playing African drums.

Classes run on the first 3 (or 4) Thursdays of the month with no class on the last Thursday.

The cost is $60/$80 for the month.
