I am writing to say thank you for the wonderful interactive workshop Akwaaba presented to the Perth College Junior School for our Creative Arts Day this year. All the girls, from Kindy to year 6, thoroughly enjoyed the percussion and singing session and learnt a lot about African music in the process. The passion you have for your music and the joy you take in sharing it with others was a delight to behold! I think the final part of the session, when all 280 girls spontaneously jumped to the feet and started dancing, was a clear endorsement of the terrific experience you created for us. The staff all felt that Akwaaba truly captured the spirit of our Creative Arts day – a time to celebrate the Arts and release the creativity, imagination and joy within each of us.
