Akwaaba offers a variety of performances and workshops for an type of party - whether your theme is African, music or you're looking for something a little different.  We bring a little bit of Africa to you!  Please contact us for prices and availability.

Performances
If you're having an African themed party we can provide some background

drumming entertainment.  If you would like the performance to have an interactive

element we can also bring along some extra drums and percussion instruments so that

the guests can get involved if they wish.

 

Interactive drumming workshops
The drumming workshops are suitable for children and adults.  No prior

drumming experience is required and everyone will be provided with a drum to play. 

Guests will learn some simple rhythms and have the opportunity to drum, sing and

dance together and have a lot of fun!  These workshops run for between

30 minutes to an hour, depending on age.

 

Drum making workshops

Suitable for 8 - 12 year olds, this workshop runs for around 1.5 - 2 hours and involves

each guest making and then taking home their own small drum/shaker to play.
